As Jesus reads the scripture in the synagogue, he reads only a portion of what was normally read from this particular scroll. He actually stops half way through, and the people in the synagogue surely picked up on this, and were amazed by it. What does this bold choice by Jesus mean to us today, and how does it inform the way we are meant to read scripture as Jesus did.
