Worship at FPCV is rooted in the reformed Protestant tradition with an emphasis on practical biblical teaching, communal prayer, and shared celebration through song. While there is a regular pattern to most services we are not highly formal or liturgical in tone. Every Sunday is a little different as a shared experience of a gather people.
Children in Worship:
Children are welcome to participate in worship with their families at all times. Most Sundays there is a special “Children’s Time” education opportunity lead by the pastors during worship. Children (Pre K-6th Grade) also have the option of attending Sunday School during the worship service time, and our older youth group meets during worship every other Sunday.
For babes in arms, there is an Infant Care Room at the rear of the sanctuary (at the top of the east stairs, to the right as you face the back of the church). This room has a crib, a changing station, infant toys, and comfortable chairs. It is wired for sound and has a large window so that you can see and hear the service as you stay with your child. There is also a nursery room out the front of the sanctuary in a small classroom.
